Races close on Mondays at 9PM EST! Our Next Sale Begins: January Y22.
02/05/23 We're almost ready to kick off the New Year here at Final Furlong! The New Years Sale is still OPEN for bids - lots of ponies needing homes! As well, we're hoping to close January Week One races by MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6. However, if we need to extend closing date so more people can get entered, just let us know in the Discord. In addition to getting your pages ready, don't forget to use your bonus points if you'd like!
01/29/23 Congratulations to KENREN for winning the Y21 Breeders' Cup Betting Contest! You've won a breeding reserve to FIFTY DREAMS (Firestone Stud) and 2x 2 furlong extensions + 5 bonus horse points! Lolly finished 2nd, and Cruisey finished 3rd.
12/08/22 The Breeder's Cup Betting Contest will make a return for Y21!!! It'll be a little bit different because of the new points system, but get ready for some end of year fun 😄
11/21/22 Entries for the New Year Sale are now open! We know it seems a bit early, but with life things we're going to need time to make sure things are right lol. Please follow the link here: https://final-furlong.proboards.com/thread/2304/y22-new-year-sale
08/20/22 Judging has been the basis for issues for a long time - taking too long, drama regarding results, bias, etc. Kenren has attempted to put a points system together that keeps the spirit of our system while streamlining and standardizing the process. It's a lot to take in, but once you get in the swing of it, preparing pages with these points takes way less time than doing a layout change lol! If you have any questions, please post them in the judging-help channel on Discord for now. If anyone needs help with anything, please let an admin know! We would like to give everyone one week to get things settled, and then we would like to run July Wk 2 using this system closing 8/27/22 (or earlier if everyone is ready). If it works out, we would like to run two game weeks per RL week to get things moving! Thank you all so much for being her!e
07/27/22 To start July off fresh, we've been playing around with a new theme for Final Furlong! Make sure to check out 'Sonorous' under your profile ❤️ Feel free to use whatever theme works best for yourself. We can't wait to get back to racing!
07/21/22 it's official! We're back! It looks like June Wk 4 was almost fully judged, so make sure you get that updated if you hadn't! We will plan to close the next week (July Wk 1) on Thursday, August 4th. This close day may change, but it's not a bad place to start! For now we'll be doing one game week per RL week to get back into things. Please remember that starting the second half of the year, 3yos can compete against older horses without automatic lower placements.
As an aside, because this is fairly sudden after a whole year, we will not be allowing reclaims on horses for members not currently active for a few months. We will readdress this going forward if needed. Thank you all for understanding!
07/08/22 GO answer the poll ❤️ https://final-furlong.proboards.com/thread/2232/ff-restart-poll
Welcome, everyone, to the Year Eighteen July Sale! Please also check out the (Breeding Stock ring) and the (Horses of Racing Age ring), as they will be running simultaneously. The catalog can be found here. Please also review the Conditions of Sale. The structure will be as follows:
Each horse will receive 12 hours in the ring. The dates and times for each horse will be listed in a schedule below. These times are in EDT so please convert them to your own time zone accordingly. When the closing time comes (aka when the next horse is due into the ring), any later bids will not be considered. Any staff member may introduce the next horse into the ring when the time comes. Anyone can bid on any horse as long as they are eligible, not just those that showed interest in the pre-sale interest thread.
+ Starting bids will be what is stated in the catalog. + If the starting bid is under $100,000, the bid must go in $10,000 increments. If the starting bid is over $100,000, the bid must go in $50,000 increments. + You do not need to wait for the 'auctioneer' to make the next bid. + Admins have the right to refuse a top bidder if issues arise + After bidding ends, please go to the (Sales Office), where buyers will post the new links and staff will move the money. Please do not do this through the donation button so we can be sure everyone gets paid. + Horses go to the highest bidder unless there is an issue, in which case the horse goes back to the consignor.

Hip 005 - Malibu Queen ch. f. by Malibu King, out of Noalla
Alright folks, let's get things rolling! First into the ring is a pretty yearling filly from the second crop of Montgomery Acres' flagship stallion, Malibu King. Malibu King is well represented in the Y16 crop, boasting such runners as Malibu Star, who was 3rd in the Pat Whitworth Illinois Handicap* early this year. This filly is out of Noalla, who is dam of three runners, including recently G1 Noadiance. She's got a nice foundation, to work with, and could be a great startup horse for someone looking to add to their yearling string!
Hip 008 - Mysterious Magic ch. f. by Mercurial Magic, out of Golden Grove
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome into the ring Hip 8, a chestnut filly by Mercurial Magic, out of Golden Grove and consigned by Stride of Perfection Stable. Mysterious Magic is a fine looking filly who promises to do her best in the sprinter-mile distance range. She has a nice motor on her and long legs that nearly guarantee a runner. Her sire was a grade three runner in his day with his most notable win coming in the Seaspray Cup Grade Three. He has sired three other offspring to date with one to race so far. That one particular runner is fantastic at what he does and is a grade two winner at the age of three. In Y18, Sunrise Spell has taken the Speed Demon Memorial Stakes*, the Boys Party*, and the Acadiana Stakes*. Mysterious Magic will be an out-cross to all of those Speed Demon lined colts out there. Her dam, Golden Grove, was a grade five winner and has produced two foals in addition to Mysterious Magic to date. Her best runner is grade three winner, Evanescence. She's a charmer in the ring and hopefully she'll charm you all into opening your wallets!
Hip 009 - Palace of Fire ch. c. by Pyrotechnics, out of Castle Siege
Next into the ring is Hip 9, a colt with very recent, strong connections that surely foretell a bright future. His sire Pyrotechnics is the only half-brother of Battle Brook's retired superstar stallion DW Flamekissed, giving his foals close relation to G1 HOTY horses Wild Kiss, Refute, Breeders Cup* race winner Summer Romance, and Kentucky Open* winner Eternally Smoldering, as well as G2 winner Incineration. As if that's not enough to make Palace of Fire a desirable prospect, he is also a half-brother to Belmont Turf Classic* winner Laddie Luck, making him a combination of lines of two of the top turf runners this year.
The 12-horse rule has been waived for this horse. He is open to bids from any buyer.
Hip 015 - Rising Star b. f. by The Rising, out of Beyond The Stars
Entering the ring now is a weanling filly out of New Hope Pasture's The Rising. These lines are no stranger to the tracks, as The Rising's presence is represented across the board with runners such as G1 Rise Me Gold, a winner in 2 legs of the Triple Tiara. He has also sired horses such as G3 The Raven, Breeder's Cup Juvenile winner Rising Wonder, Eulogy Rise and Riot Act. This dirt router filly is out of Beyond The Stars, a grade three racehorse in her days. Rising Star is her first foal. She's got a lot of sire success on the track and should have a solid start with whoever she goes home with.
Hip 016 - Storm Surge ch. f. by Super Sparky, out of Tullamore Dew
Next into the ring is Hip 16, this Y18 born chestnut filly is by Super Sparky, an original sprinting sire, who seems to be building a nice foundation for himself. Out of Tullamore Dew, another original mare owned by Aspenhill Stud, this filly is as fresh as it gets line-wise in the breeding sprinter world. This is definitely worth taking a gamble on to see how she continues to grow and develop and if she's anything like her siblings, she is the perfect addition to get now before this line becomes red-hot and pricey.
