Races close on Mondays at 9PM EST! Our Next Sale Begins: January Y22.
02/05/23 We're almost ready to kick off the New Year here at Final Furlong! The New Years Sale is still OPEN for bids - lots of ponies needing homes! As well, we're hoping to close January Week One races by MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6. However, if we need to extend closing date so more people can get entered, just let us know in the Discord. In addition to getting your pages ready, don't forget to use your bonus points if you'd like!
01/29/23 Congratulations to KENREN for winning the Y21 Breeders' Cup Betting Contest! You've won a breeding reserve to FIFTY DREAMS (Firestone Stud) and 2x 2 furlong extensions + 5 bonus horse points! Lolly finished 2nd, and Cruisey finished 3rd.
12/08/22 The Breeder's Cup Betting Contest will make a return for Y21!!! It'll be a little bit different because of the new points system, but get ready for some end of year fun 😄
11/21/22 Entries for the New Year Sale are now open! We know it seems a bit early, but with life things we're going to need time to make sure things are right lol. Please follow the link here: https://final-furlong.proboards.com/thread/2304/y22-new-year-sale
08/20/22 Judging has been the basis for issues for a long time - taking too long, drama regarding results, bias, etc. Kenren has attempted to put a points system together that keeps the spirit of our system while streamlining and standardizing the process. It's a lot to take in, but once you get in the swing of it, preparing pages with these points takes way less time than doing a layout change lol! If you have any questions, please post them in the judging-help channel on Discord for now. If anyone needs help with anything, please let an admin know! We would like to give everyone one week to get things settled, and then we would like to run July Wk 2 using this system closing 8/27/22 (or earlier if everyone is ready). If it works out, we would like to run two game weeks per RL week to get things moving! Thank you all so much for being her!e
07/27/22 To start July off fresh, we've been playing around with a new theme for Final Furlong! Make sure to check out 'Sonorous' under your profile ❤️ Feel free to use whatever theme works best for yourself. We can't wait to get back to racing!
07/21/22 it's official! We're back! It looks like June Wk 4 was almost fully judged, so make sure you get that updated if you hadn't! We will plan to close the next week (July Wk 1) on Thursday, August 4th. This close day may change, but it's not a bad place to start! For now we'll be doing one game week per RL week to get back into things. Please remember that starting the second half of the year, 3yos can compete against older horses without automatic lower placements.
As an aside, because this is fairly sudden after a whole year, we will not be allowing reclaims on horses for members not currently active for a few months. We will readdress this going forward if needed. Thank you all for understanding!
07/08/22 GO answer the poll ❤️ https://final-furlong.proboards.com/thread/2232/ff-restart-poll

It's been just over year since the foundation of Memoriae Racing, and around 9 months since the stable had gone dormant. Though now it seems the establishment is back, and with some new faces in tow! While I'm sure we'll see the newcomers soon enough, let's focus on the originals. They've been off the track for a while, although I'm sure they're ready as ever to get back out there once again!
Eliza Newman here, joined by Jack Newman, Alex Peters, Jett Maddon, Alison Gray and AJ Sharp, to give you and update on some potentially familiar faces. Two seniors and three classics find themselves back on the track after quite a break, but these guys assure me that they're most certainly ready to race once again.
Lets talk aboutCoquelicot, a feisty chestnut filly who just could not break her maiden last season, although Alison is quite sure that will be changing this year. The turf miler filly has been working hard over the racing break, and is ready to fight her way to the wire. Her fiery attitude are definitely going to be back on the track, this stalker is going to be testing those front-runners every step of the way. She's not going to be giving up any time soon.
Now Intermission is a colt that I myself am excited to see back on the track. Making a stunning debut, winning his first race and then his third, a HOTY race might I mention. This distance boy is definitely going to be happy once he's back on that dirt track. Now jockey Alex is quite confident in this colt's abilities, and believes that they will be able to achieve a lot this season. Now This guy is a mid-pack, so there's always a potential for him to be boxed in, but at this point in time it seems he's an extremely smart colt who knows how to weave his way between horses. So I will be putting my money on this boy to live up to his jockey's expectations this season.
Introspection, the tall black colt is definitely going to be an interesting sight back on the track. He was known for being quite an interesting horse to be around during his two year old season, often aiming small kicks at whoever was by his side. According to Jack (shoutout to my younger brother) however, he has settled down quite reasonably. While still as grumpy as ever, and still loving the track, we'll have to get used to seeing this boy without the extra sass. This dirt sprinter has been tearing up the track back home, and is rearing to get out there once again. There's no doubt we'll see this familiar pinny-eared grump in no time.
Finally on to the older horses.
We have Southern Hemisphere, the gorgeous grey mare with a heart of gold. This girl managed to just move into grade 4 races before Memoriae took a break. This turf girl runs at 7-10 furlongs, and is always seen pressuring those pesky front-runners. The whole staff team is particularly fond of this girl, and everyone has faith that she can do great things. Jockey Jett Maddon says "she's able to steal anyone's heart, even with a single glance." and I have no doubt about it. With a sweet face like hers it's tough to not like this mare.
Last but not least comes Spectral Vision, a grumpy and solitary bay stallion. Now AJ says that he's an amazing stallion although his temperament doesn't do him any favours. This distance runner isn't the nicest of stallions, but by no means is he the worst the racing world has seen. He's persistent, we can give him that. Often settling in as a closer, this boy has to fight his way to the front of the pack, and often does so with little difficulty. Now he's 5 this season, much like south, but according to Bates the aim is to get him to grade 3 at least. Will he be able to do it? We'll have to wait and see.
Now for the youngest, sweet little Army of Flowers. Daisy is a cute filly, who has been doing quite a lot since we last saw Memoriae Racing. They've been working with this filly quite a lot, making sure she's prepare for race day. A dual sprinter, she is definitely a favourite in the barn. She has an incredible amount of energy, and stamina to match. She has no problem leading the pack, and is happiest when she's able to see the track stretching out in front of her. Now everyone expects a lot from this filly, showing a lot of potential during workouts. She's is incredibly smart, and picks things up very quickly, adapting to what her jockey is asking of her. She's also quite reactive, it doesn't take much asking for her to do something, she's eager to please. She's had some issues with the starting gates, yet that's being worked on as they go. This is one cracker of a filly, showing her best in everything she does. There's no doubt she will go places.
