Personality: She may not be the sharpest tool in the box, but English Roan is undeniably sweet. Anybody who works with her will tell you the same thing - that she's an utter joy to be around. A bit of an idiot, Roan is known for being a touch clumsy. It isn't uncommon to walk into her stable to find her water spilt everywhere, or to see her taking a moment to find her way back up after rolling over in the paddock. She has a lot of trust in her and is incredibly friendly.

On the track, English Roan relies on her jockey to be the brains of the operation. She had clear talent when it comes to running fast, but she needs somebody else to help guide her. Roan loads into the gate easily and, once they open, is off like a flash - a little encouragement going a long way with whatever she does.

She likes to run towards the back half of the pack (though never behind it) but is comfortable anywhere within the mass of horses. English Roan will keep a steady pace, sticking with the group, until the latter half of the race. At this point her jockey will encourage her to speed up - and she will. Roan will reveal a sudden burst of speed, overtaking her competitors as she rushes ahead and toward the finish line.
