Races close on Mondays at 9PM EST! Our Next Sale Begins: January Y22.
02/05/23 We're almost ready to kick off the New Year here at Final Furlong! The New Years Sale is still OPEN for bids - lots of ponies needing homes! As well, we're hoping to close January Week One races by MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6. However, if we need to extend closing date so more people can get entered, just let us know in the Discord. In addition to getting your pages ready, don't forget to use your bonus points if you'd like!
01/29/23 Congratulations to KENREN for winning the Y21 Breeders' Cup Betting Contest! You've won a breeding reserve to FIFTY DREAMS (Firestone Stud) and 2x 2 furlong extensions + 5 bonus horse points! Lolly finished 2nd, and Cruisey finished 3rd.
12/08/22 The Breeder's Cup Betting Contest will make a return for Y21!!! It'll be a little bit different because of the new points system, but get ready for some end of year fun 😄
11/21/22 Entries for the New Year Sale are now open! We know it seems a bit early, but with life things we're going to need time to make sure things are right lol. Please follow the link here: https://final-furlong.proboards.com/thread/2304/y22-new-year-sale
08/20/22 Judging has been the basis for issues for a long time - taking too long, drama regarding results, bias, etc. Kenren has attempted to put a points system together that keeps the spirit of our system while streamlining and standardizing the process. It's a lot to take in, but once you get in the swing of it, preparing pages with these points takes way less time than doing a layout change lol! If you have any questions, please post them in the judging-help channel on Discord for now. If anyone needs help with anything, please let an admin know! We would like to give everyone one week to get things settled, and then we would like to run July Wk 2 using this system closing 8/27/22 (or earlier if everyone is ready). If it works out, we would like to run two game weeks per RL week to get things moving! Thank you all so much for being her!e
07/27/22 To start July off fresh, we've been playing around with a new theme for Final Furlong! Make sure to check out 'Sonorous' under your profile ❤️ Feel free to use whatever theme works best for yourself. We can't wait to get back to racing!
07/21/22 it's official! We're back! It looks like June Wk 4 was almost fully judged, so make sure you get that updated if you hadn't! We will plan to close the next week (July Wk 1) on Thursday, August 4th. This close day may change, but it's not a bad place to start! For now we'll be doing one game week per RL week to get back into things. Please remember that starting the second half of the year, 3yos can compete against older horses without automatic lower placements.
As an aside, because this is fairly sudden after a whole year, we will not be allowing reclaims on horses for members not currently active for a few months. We will readdress this going forward if needed. Thank you all for understanding!
07/08/22 GO answer the poll ❤️ https://final-furlong.proboards.com/thread/2232/ff-restart-poll
Welcome, everyone, to the Year Eighteen July Sale! Please also check out the (Breeding Stock ring) and the (Youngstock ring), as they will be running simultaneously. The catalog can be found here. Please also review the Conditions of Sale. The structure will be as follows:
Each horse will receive 12 hours in the ring. The dates and times for each horse will be listed in a schedule below. These times are in EDT so please convert them to your own time zone accordingly. When the closing time comes (aka when the next horse is due into the ring), any later bids will not be considered. Any staff member may introduce the next horse into the ring when the time comes. Anyone can bid on any horse as long as they are eligible, not just those that showed interest in the pre-sale interest thread.
+ Starting bids will be what is stated in the catalog. + If the starting bid is under $100,000, the bid must go in $10,000 increments. If the starting bid is over $100,000, the bid must go in $50,000 increments. + You do not need to wait for the 'auctioneer' to make the next bid. + Admins have the right to refuse a top bidder if issues arise + After bidding ends, please go to the (Sales Office), where buyers will post the new links and staff will move the money. Please do not do this through the donation button so we can be sure everyone gets paid. + Horses go to the highest bidder unless there is an issue, in which case the horse goes back to the consignor.

Hip 001 - Jersey Glory ch. f. by Dreaming of Glory, out of Forgettaboutit
Let's now welcome our very first hip into the ring. Hip 1 is a two-year-old filly that is G5, having broken her maiden in April. She has been relatively lightly raced but is in great position to finish the rest of the year very strongly. This filly is by Bank On Glory son Dreaming of Glory, a G3 stallion who is also entered later in this sale. He himself finished third in the Preakness Stakes*, as well as finishing top three in a number of Triple Crown prep races. He is also the sire of Y16 colt Sahadev, who is well placed in HOTY* company, finishing first in the Forbidden Wings Legacy Stakes* and the sand-surfaced Holden Beach Stakes*. Jersey Glory is out of the Kennington Farm mare Forgettaboutit, the dam of two other foals including Forget Me Not, a consistent G3 four-year-old. This is a new line of an old pedigree, and a great catch for those needing a dirt router!
Hip 004 - Kosmodor b. c. by Malubu King, out of Kalahari
Next into the ring is a lightly raced son of Malibu King. He did win a race in February and since then has been training off the main tracks. He promises to be a promising project for a stable that is really looking to build this colt's career from the ground up. Malibu King is showing some promise as a new sire, so don't miss this chance to get your hands on this promising looking colt. He is cosigned by REI.
Hip 007 - Moonstorm gr/rn. f. by Canjun Moon, out of Terror Smile
Next into the ring is hip 7, a real treat combination of breeding and past racing success. A grade two filly that has found herself struggling somewhat this year compared to others, this four-year-old is nonetheless a HOTY winner of the Miesque Stakes* and has a plethora of back class at her disposal. Her lines are deep and rich, particularly on her sire's side. Canjun Moon is a HOTY-winning son of BHoF Requiem, and has also sired such horses as strong HOTY competitors Apache Warrior and Never Surrender. Moonstorm's dam, Terror Smile, is a foundation mare that also produced consistent juvenile Chelsea's Smile and Turf Triple Crown competitor Takeover Bid. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take in a high-potential project horse!
Hip 011 - Pele's Wrath dk b/br. f. by Ashes to Ashes, out of Candid Silver
Next up we've got a real treat, ladies and gentlemen! Pele's Wrath is already an accomplished HOTY horse, G1, and ready to continue finishing out a very strong career at the highest level! She's a winner of six HOTY races, including the Hurricane Bertie* this year. As far as breeding goes, she's hard to beat. By Ashes to Ashes, she is a half through her sire to Fading Embers, Vitriol, Flash Fire, Akanksha, and Aphrodite's Ashes. Through Candid Silver Pele's Wrath is half to Ares (Red Wine Sprint*) and Cataclysmic (BC Juvenile Sprint*). She's royally bred, and not even a project! She's already done it! This would be a fantastic filly to add to any string.
Hip 012 - Platinum Fuhr ch sab. f. by Platinum Fox, out of Afuhrmative
Next into the ring is hip 12, a nicely racing filly by the name of Platinum Fuhr. She has started her racing career this season as a four-year-old and has already racked up seven wins to place her as a Grade Three winner within one seven months - something quite impressive given the current fields. This flashy looking filly is a racehorse you definitely want inside of your barn as she continues to grow and climb the ranks. She also offers excellent breeding potential down the line, with a pedigree that isn't as common as others to bring a fresh touch to any breeding program. A miler type, by definition of her range, this filly has been killing the races at 9 and 10 furlongs. She's yet to win a graded stakes race, but with this filly, it is only a matter of when.
Hip 017 - Storm Warning bck sab. c. by Apollo's Sunset, out of Golden Roses
The next flashy colt into the ring is Storm Warning, a colt that hails from fresh lines. He is a G2 runner with tons of back class, including wins in the Azalea Cup Colts* and Battlestone Downs Turf Sprint*. With work and a solid season this year, this son of Apollo's Sunset will be a prime turf sprinting HOTY contender next year, if not the second half of this year! Through his sire this colt is half to Twilight Reign, a likely runner in the upcoming Turf Triple Sprinter Tiara, and Orpheus. His dam has also produced such runners as Superbad, a very consistent juvenile. This is an incredible project horse, and a great addition to any string!
