Races close on Mondays at 9PM EST! Our Next Sale Begins: January Y22.
02/05/23 We're almost ready to kick off the New Year here at Final Furlong! The New Years Sale is still OPEN for bids - lots of ponies needing homes! As well, we're hoping to close January Week One races by MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6. However, if we need to extend closing date so more people can get entered, just let us know in the Discord. In addition to getting your pages ready, don't forget to use your bonus points if you'd like!
01/29/23 Congratulations to KENREN for winning the Y21 Breeders' Cup Betting Contest! You've won a breeding reserve to FIFTY DREAMS (Firestone Stud) and 2x 2 furlong extensions + 5 bonus horse points! Lolly finished 2nd, and Cruisey finished 3rd.
12/08/22 The Breeder's Cup Betting Contest will make a return for Y21!!! It'll be a little bit different because of the new points system, but get ready for some end of year fun 😄
11/21/22 Entries for the New Year Sale are now open! We know it seems a bit early, but with life things we're going to need time to make sure things are right lol. Please follow the link here: https://final-furlong.proboards.com/thread/2304/y22-new-year-sale
08/20/22 Judging has been the basis for issues for a long time - taking too long, drama regarding results, bias, etc. Kenren has attempted to put a points system together that keeps the spirit of our system while streamlining and standardizing the process. It's a lot to take in, but once you get in the swing of it, preparing pages with these points takes way less time than doing a layout change lol! If you have any questions, please post them in the judging-help channel on Discord for now. If anyone needs help with anything, please let an admin know! We would like to give everyone one week to get things settled, and then we would like to run July Wk 2 using this system closing 8/27/22 (or earlier if everyone is ready). If it works out, we would like to run two game weeks per RL week to get things moving! Thank you all so much for being her!e
07/27/22 To start July off fresh, we've been playing around with a new theme for Final Furlong! Make sure to check out 'Sonorous' under your profile ❤️ Feel free to use whatever theme works best for yourself. We can't wait to get back to racing!
07/21/22 it's official! We're back! It looks like June Wk 4 was almost fully judged, so make sure you get that updated if you hadn't! We will plan to close the next week (July Wk 1) on Thursday, August 4th. This close day may change, but it's not a bad place to start! For now we'll be doing one game week per RL week to get back into things. Please remember that starting the second half of the year, 3yos can compete against older horses without automatic lower placements.
As an aside, because this is fairly sudden after a whole year, we will not be allowing reclaims on horses for members not currently active for a few months. We will readdress this going forward if needed. Thank you all for understanding!
07/08/22 GO answer the poll ❤️ https://final-furlong.proboards.com/thread/2232/ff-restart-poll
Welcome, everyone, to the Year Eighteen July Sale! Please also check out the (Horses of Racing Age ring) and the (Youngstock ring), as they will be running simultaneously. The catalog can be found here. Please also review the Conditions of Sale. The structure will be as follows:
Each horse will receive 12 hours in the ring. The dates and times for each horse will be listed in a schedule below. These times are in EDT so please convert them to your own time zone accordingly. When the closing time comes (aka when the next horse is due into the ring), any later bids will not be considered. Any staff member may introduce the next horse into the ring when the time comes. Anyone can bid on any horse as long as they are eligible, not just those that showed interest in the pre-sale interest thread.
+ Starting bids will be what is stated in the catalog. + If the starting bid is under $100,000, the bid must go in $10,000 increments. If the starting bid is over $100,000, the bid must go in $50,000 increments. + You do not need to wait for the 'auctioneer' to make the next bid. + Admins have the right to refuse a top bidder if issues arise + After bidding ends, please go to the (Sales Office), where buyers will post the new links and staff will move the money. Please do not do this through the donation button so we can be sure everyone gets paid. + Horses go to the highest bidder unless there is an issue, in which case the horse goes back to the consignor.

First in the Horse of Breeding Stock Ring will be this spectacular looking bay stallion by the name of Justa Muffin. He was originally raced and sponsored to stud by the former Star Thoroughbreds and since then has found himself ready for sale again, cosigned by Battle Brooke Stables. He is a retired grade four turf runner, that dipped into the sprints at seven furlongs and ran up to twelve. He is a sweet-tempered stallion but had flashes of brilliance in his racing career winning races such as the Preakness Champion Stakes*. So this is definitely a stallion that has the talent to throw a serious turf contender. He's currently sired six foals to date: G2 Get Loose, G2 Just a Song, G2, Justa Little Cutie, Prospect Justa Lass, G3 Fever Pitch & Weanling Blushing Groom. Justa Muffin would make a great addition to any breeding program, offering access to lines that are no longer available directly. If you're looking for a fresh and promising turf sire then don't miss out on this opportunity.
Key To Flight is no stranger to the sales ring... However, he isn't a stranger to success. With only one foal sired and one foal raced, Key To Flight has proven to be 100% successful. In his short career, Key To Flight himself was a HOTY winner before retiring as a grade five runner. We are told he has a sweet personality and is a barn favorite. Key West, the lone horse he has sired, is a grade one winner and has won 7 HOTY races including the Met Mile, the Easy Goer Red Mile and the Holy Bull. Key West is reported to have a workaholic personality and has a ton of heart and drive. Key To Flight is an absolute out-cross which will prove fruitful in the decades going forward.
Hip 006 - Memorial's Blaze b. c. by Memorial Runner (CR), out of One Bad Girl (CR)
Back into the ring now is Memorial's Blaze, a HOTY winner himself of the Boy's Festival* and Star Festival*. This stallion is already the sire of HOTY-winning filly Blazing Kiss, standing stud G1 Arlequinn (sire of HOTY-winner Mild Manic), good mare Lost in Memories, rapidly improving Gladiator, and juvenile Mirror Image. While he has had five foals, this proven stallion has another foal or two up his sleeve, and he's a versatile option for anyone needing a turfer - he ran at 6-11 furlongs, so the possibilities are endless!
Hip 010 - Palisades Pirate b. c. by Shiver Me Timbers, out of Palisades Silver
This G1 stallion is from very prominent lines, and even though he's unproven, he's got some serious stallion power backing him up! Shiver Me Timbers hardly needs an introduction, with a slew of G1 and classic-winning foals. His dam is an old Y0 foundation mare, and her brood includes such names a Deabuelle, Cry Out Chaos, Silver Stalker, Lucky Silver, and Special Edition, most of whom have their own foals and lines started now! Don't miss out on this rare outcross!
Hip 013 - Point Away gr. m. by Point Given, out of Chloe's Edition
Next in the ring is a greatly anticipated entry, hip 13 is Point Away, now entering the ring. Cosigned by Battle Brooke Stables, this mare ran in the days when fields were 14 horses deep and wins were hard to come by. She's a graded stakes winner with over fourteen wins to her name and is now coming to the ring as tried broodmare. Her first foal is retired G3 Jazzaway, but quite recently, this mare has fresh crops in the wings with the presently active juvenile Taipan, Yearling Pray for Pegasus and Arrows Away. Her foals are showing much promise and she presents astonishing versatility as a dam. If that wasn't enough to entice you, her lines and fresh outcrosses to pair well with any established lines you might have in your bar. To sweeten the deal, even more, this mare has checked out to be in foal to none other than G1 Winner Euphorion. So what are you waiting for? This mare is set and primed to start any breeding program off with a bang.
Hip 014 - Prideful Limits b. c. by Shiver Me Timbers, out of Trust Limits
Next up is a prime offering from Valkyrie Stud, from a dam line that's not widely distributed but very successful. Prideful Limits was lightly raced throughout his career but still reached G1 status. He is by Shiver Me Timbers, making him half to G1 Speedway Stakes* winner Aquatic Addiction, G1 Tick Tock Sprint* winner Optimus Unstoppable, Shining Stakes* and BC Filly and Mare Sprint* winner Siren Call, and Luminous Wave, So Sassy Sprint* winner and winner of five HOTY races this year already at five. As if the sire's side wasn't strong enough, Prideful Limits is also from an incredibly versatile and successful dam line. As well as being sire of this G1 turf sprinter, Trust Limits also produced runners such as dirt sprinter and sire Limited Bluez, Hall of Famer and Preakness Stakes*, Belmont Stakes*, and Dubai World Championship* winner Limited Edition, and Distance Series Finale (Super Derby*) winner Wyvern. If you want a line that has proven to be versatile despite their own preferences, this guy could be for you. He himself is the sire of one foal to race, Ambush, who has frequented the HOTY races but is likely to see his best year at three if the pattern of pedigree holds. Don't miss out on this one-time offer!
Hip 021 - The Prize gr/rn. f. by Major Portion (CR), out of Renounce (CR)
Next up is an offering from the Daredevil Division of Intrepid Racing. This mare is proven and lightly bred despite her age, so she's definitely got some foals left to give! Her brood consists of G1 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile placed Prize Me Proud and G2 turfer Girl Talk, who won the Island Fashion Stakes*. She's a versatile mare despite her own turf preference, and would be a great addition to any broodmare band!
