Personality: Poppy is a temperamental filly who has a tendency to spook at whatever, whenever. What she finds scary depends on her mood, so you’re always in for a treat with this one. One thing that is consistent with her is that she is terrified of small yappy dogs. She’s fine around larger dogs, but small ones scare her like no other, especially with their high pitched and constant yapping. She absolutely despised the farrier, and it takes a lot of coercion for her to even allow them to get near her feet. Even after that, there are no promises that she will stand still and she most definitely will try to bite and kick. When being turned out to the paddock she goes absolutely crazy, turning on a dime and getting away as quickly as she can, probably with a poorly aimed kick added in as well. Her manners are terrible in short, she's terrible to lead and load, always looking for somebody close to bite. One thing that does calm her down is those nice classic treats from the local saddleries. On the track she is very hot-headed, eager to get out of the gate and will not stop moving. She’s fighting every step of the way, and it takes a very experience jockey to keep this girl calm and collected until the time is right.
